Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and CPTL Technologies LLC ("CPTL", "we", "us") for your use of the CPTL iPhone app, our text message service and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Not investment advice. CPTL provides market information and explanations for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. CPTL is not a broker-dealer or registered investment adviser. Model portfolios are the same for every subscriber and are not tailored to you. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions; consider consulting a licensed professional.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your phone and account secure.

Subscription and billing

  • CPTL costs $19 per month (plus any applicable taxes), billed through your Apple ID if you subscribe in the iPhone app, or by card through our payment processor, Stripe, if you subscribe on cptl.app.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings (iPhone purchases) or under Settings → Manage subscription in CPTL (web purchases). New subscribers may be offered a free trial; if you don't cancel before it ends, the subscription starts automatically.
  • Refunds for iPhone purchases are handled by Apple under its policies. For web purchases, contact us at support@cptl.app.
  • If we change the price, we'll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.

Market data and accuracy

The Service relies on third-party data sources and automated analysis, including AI-generated summaries. Data may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and alerts may be late, missed, or sent in error. We do not guarantee that you'll be notified of any particular event. Always verify important information before acting on it.

Brokerage connections

Brokerage linking is read-only and provided through a third-party connection partner, subject to its terms. CPTL cannot place trades or move money. You can disconnect at any time.

Text messaging terms

  • Program: CPTL portfolio alerts. We text you about market events relevant to the securities in your portfolio and reply to questions you text us.
  • Consent: you opt in by entering and verifying your phone number in the CPTL app. Consent is not a condition of any purchase other than the CPTL service itself.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies with market events affecting your portfolio, plus replies to your messages and account notices such as verification codes.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to cancel at any time. You'll receive one confirmation, and no further texts unless you opt in again by replying START.
  • Help: reply HELP for help, or email support@cptl.app.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no reverse engineering, scraping, reselling, interfering with the Service, or using it in violation of law. We may suspend or end access for misuse.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and content, belongs to CPTL or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use it while your subscription is active.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPTL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access with notice where reasonable.

Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you in advance in the app or by text. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
